It has just been announced that Olli Caldwell has been selected for the prestigious MSA Team UK Elite Squad. Olli is part of the latest intake to join the programme which sits at the top of the Motorsport UK Academy development pathway. The16-year-old now forms a list of twelve drivers which include the likes of Jack Aitken (F2), Callum Ilott (GP3), Jake Hughes (GP3) and Jake Dennis (Blancpain GT).
Olli will now receive bespoke one-on-one performance management programme working with an MSA Level Four Qualified Performance Manager. That includes ongoing coaching, support and advice tailored specifically to his needs and requirements which should be particularly helpful during the off-season.
The constant support will give Olli an even better chance of being successful in his pursuit to reach the top of Motorsport. The programme has produced Formula 1 drivers which include the likes of Lando Norris and George Russell and Olli will be aiming to be the next to follow in their footsteps
To be hand-picked for Team UK is a huge honour for any racing driver, with only twelve drivers getting the privilege of being included. That in itself shows that Olli’s achievements of taking victories and fighting for championships in the ADAC and Italian F4 Championships is being recognised back home.
