Olli’s ADAC F4 journey continues at the Nurburgring this weekend

This weekend Olli Caldwell heads to the Nurburgring for round six of the ADAC F4 Championship

It’s been a season that has certainly had it’s glitches, but overall Olli’s ADAC F4 journey so far has been impressive. Olli currently has four podiums to his name, one of which was a victory at round one, and the 2nd place at the F1 German Grand Prix last time out will have given him great confidence heading into this weekend.

The next stop in the season will be the Nurburgring for round six of the championship. It marks the penultimate round of the series which will be followed by a
lengthy break before one final round at Hockenheim at the end of September. Eleven points finishes out of fourteen races leave Olli sitting 6th in the championship with 5th just nine points ahead.

Olli raced at the Nurburgring last year in one of two races that he did in the season. Olli got his best result of 17th place in the final race of the weekend, but his aims will be exceptionally higher for this weekend. Since the opening round at Oschersleben Olli has come very close to taking victory on a number of occasions but hasn’t quite been able to get that second victory just yet.

Olli will be racing on the shorter 3.6 km layout of the circuit, which reduces the overtaking opportunities, making Friday afternoon very important! There should be some
opportunities to pass both into the first corner and into the chicane as well. Other than those two-hard braking zones the Nurburgring is a very flowing circuit which does not give drivers must rest and could be very hard on the tyres too.

As ever, Olli will be chasing top spot this weekend with podium finishes a minimal aim. The end of the season is quickly approaching and after what has been a strong two rounds on the bounce, Olli will not be wanting to take his foot off the gas now!

All three races will be streamed live on https://www.ollicaldwell.com/live with updates also going out on social media.
